A Support Group for Typical Children Who Have 
Brothers & Sisters with Special Needs


OPPORTUNITIES & GOALS: 
Meet & develop relationships with other siblings
Share the benefits & concerns of having a sibling with special needs
Learn to respond to challenging situations   
Develop & refine skills to cope with family, friends & others
Manage difficult feelings and behaviors
Identify & reinforce the strengths of being a sibling
Learn about oneself & build self-esteem

PARENTS:
Parents will receive weekly handouts about each group topic to support their child’s group experience.  Parent consultation with Sondra Wolff is available 
upon request.

	GROUP INFORMATION:
Who: 3rd and 4th graders
What: 10 weekly group sessions, limited to 6 children 
When: Mondays, February 26 – May 7, 2007 (no group, April 2nd)
	    5:30 – 6:45 pm
Where: 7700 Leesburg Pike, Suite #200, Falls Church, VA 22043
Cost: $50/session
